Everything changes

Today two listening tips from the new/side projects of 2 of my former favorites:

Blaqkaudio are 2/4 of AFI and have mixed the typical AFI singing with synthesizer sounds. That means that it's almost like the last (not so good) album.

On the other hand Eighteen Visions have split up and 2 of its members formed N3V3R 3N0U6H which try to gain fans with some industrial music.

All in all both aren't nearly as good as their former/other bands but at least in the case of AFI there is hope...

Surprise & disappointment

Two of my favorite bands of the last years have released their new albums. While the last albums of these two weren't as good as the older ones, I was very excited what would come up now.

And here's the verdict:

Check out From Autumn To Ashes and some of their current videos here and here as they have topped even their older stuff. And this although (or maybe because) they kicked out their singer.

On the other hand the new Funeral For A Friend CD just sucks because of its weakness (although I should be receptive to softer stuff... ;). But if you check out their older stuff you'll be satisfied (if you're not a weak pussy and share my musical taste of course ;)
